Indonesia U-19 almost settled for a draw againts Oman U-19. However, the captain, Evan Dimas, failed to execute it perfectly. As a result, Oman won 2-1 on friendly, Wednesday April 9, at Muscat.
The penalty came in the 67th minute after an Oman's player touches the ball within the box. However, it was denied by the goalkeeper. The wo teams drew 1-1 when the opportunity came about. Indonesia fell behind the 20th minute. Six minutes later, Garuda Jaya equalized through Ilham Udin Armayn.
After Evan Dimas penalty fails, Oman scored the second goal in the 76th minute. Dimas' failure was unfortunate.
The match against Oman U-19 is the first friendly for the national team in the Middle East. Indra Sjafri forces will meet Oman again on April 11. After that, the will continue the journey to meet UAE twice.
