Indonesian National Team player who starred in the SEA Games, Okto Maniani, feels proud to join with one of the team from his hometown, Persiram Raja Ampat.
In last September 2012, Okto official uniformed Persiram. He's tied a one-year contract by the team from Papua. So far, Okto underwent six matches with Persiram in Indonesia Super League (ISL). Although his team has never tasted victory, he still felt proud.
"I am proud to play with Persiram, a team from Papua, and I can do my best for Papua," said 21-years-old player after his team failed to play against Newcastle Aberdeen because of safety factor, Thursday (1/12/2012).
In addition, Okto also explains the difference between playing with Persiram with his former team he defended last season, Sriwijaya FC. He said that Sriwijaya is a star crowd team, while in Persiram, the goal is to motivate younger players to try their best to be called for Indonesian National Team.
"Sriwijaya have all kind of star players along with national team players, me being here gives the younger players extra motivation to join the national team," he said.
Furthermore, when asked about the reason his moving to Persiram, Okto answered shortly, "I wanted to be closer to my family."
He plans to win the league with Persiram. "We're new in Super League, and we're looking forward to stay in Super League, and subsequently is to achieve the dream to becoming Super League champions," said the player.
