Mitra Kukar Landed Ex Kashiwa Antlers'

Mitra Kukar shows seriousness in the ISL (Indonesian Super League) season 2011/12. As a proof, they continue to bring in star players. Most recently, The Dragon of Mekes recruited former Kashiwa Antlers defender, Seiji Kaneko.

The Japanese player began a career Kashima Antlers starting from 1999. With Kashima Antlers, he'd been loaned several times, including to Vissel Kobe (2005), Avispa Fukuoka (2006-2007) and Nagoya Grampus Eight (2007). The last time he played for Kashima Antlers was in 2008 before finally released at the end of the J-League season.

A year later, the player who was born on May 27 1980, finally found a new club. He left Japan to join the S. League (Singapore League), Tampines Rovers. However, Seiji stayed shortly at The Stags. Then, Mitra Kukar was the new home for his next career.

"Seiji Kaneko has officially joined Mitra Kukar. Valid through Friday tomorrow (01/13/2012) he had gone to Tenggarong after signing a contract in Jakarta," said CEO Mitra Kukar as quoted from mitrakukar.com.

Seiji Kaneko presence on Mitra Kukar, Endri said, is expected to boost the strength of the defense line. Although there are some classy players already, like Pierre Njanka and Hamkah Hamzah, Mitra Kukar always conceded on every match. In total, nine goals for Mitra Kukar within five games.

"Seiji will be positioned as a right wing back," said Endri.

Furthermore, Endri explained, the paperwork will immediately be approved by PT Liga Indonesia as the organizer of ISL. This will ensure that Seiji will play for Mitra Kukar ASAP.
